  1. Describe what the PIPA and SOPA acts are in your own words.
    I think that PIPA and SOPA are restricting people from expressing themselves. They’re trying to stop people from copyrighting and so it basically affects all of the internet users.
  2. What does this mean to average internet users around the world?
    I think this means that average internet users will not be able to share anything and that their rights and thought will not be heard.
    a)We should have unlimited access to free information through the internet.
  3. Many activists are arguing that both of these sites are infringing upon our freedom of expression while harming the Internet. Do you agree or disagree?
    I agree with these arguments because blogging and sharing things is a way of expressing ourselves and the internet is being harmed mostly because that’s all we can do on the internet, expressing ourselves.
  4. In Canada we have our rights and freedoms guaranteed to us under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms which exists within our constitution. What would acts like this due to our rights as Canadians?
    Acts like that would be a violation of our freedom of expression law.
  5. Is it justified for the American government to make a decision that would affect individuals around the world? Why or why not?
    No, it is not justified because the American government can’t make that decision for Canada. Canada has it’s own laws and if the American governments pass that law it would interfere with our laws too.

AI-Artificial Intelligence

Aritficial intelligence was a great movie. This movie was about a mother whos son was in a coma and wouldnt wake up. The mother believed that her son would wake up but her husband doubted it. The husband thought the son would never wake up so he got his a wife a Mecca child. The mother loved David the mecca child and when her real son woke up, he got jealous of David. When it was Martin’s birthday party a few kids were bullying David and someone cut him he hid behind Martin and accidently fell into the pool and was drowning him. Henry, the husband told the wife to abandon David to where he was created and so the wife left David in the forest. While David was in the forest he saw other robots, old robots looking for spare parts and while he was looking at them all of a sudde there were flesh fair people looking for robots to torture. On the way to the fair David got to know Joe, another humanoid robot. A little girl saw David and told her father that a real boy was getting ready to get totured. The big boss knew he was a robot and decieded to put him where he belonged, the audience was so upset with him and David and Joe were able to escape. Joe took David to where all the females claimed to be but David wanted to find the blue fairy and ask her to help him become a real boy. When they found the area where the blue fairy lived David found out that he wasn’t the only David created. There were many other Mecca David’s. Once David found where the blue fairy was she was just a statue, David wish for over 2000 years and finally his wish came true by the new robots. David’s mother finally came back to him and loved and him and for the first time in his life, David went to sleep and had eternal love from his mother.

I think that we humans have a fascination with creating artificial intelligence because people in this generation are getting more and more lazy. I think that people want to create machines that will do things for you so you don’t have to do anything. I also think that people make artificial intelligence to observe how they learn and what they can do.

I think there are many differences between robots and humans because humans are the ones that make the robots. I don’t think you can make a robot exactly similar to a human, they always have to have one flaw. Humans are mammals and they have blood and they learn things for themselves. Robots are machines that humans program to do things and they have wires.

Rodney Brooks Says Robots Will Invade Our Lives

                   Rodney Brooks, an intelligent man says that robots will invade our lives. At first robots started out as just toys, toys like talking baby toys and  video games and then the robots evolved and they become more useful to parents. The useful robots were machines such as cleaning robots, things like a vacuum that can clean by itself without having to be manually directed. Robots also became more useful to the army. They have invented a robot that acts as a surveillance camera just for the army. The robot is very durable and can be thrown through a hard glass window or can fall down twenty-five feet high up more or less. Cynthia Breazeal was also featured in this video. Cynthia, the creator of Kismit the robot was very successful with her robot. Her robot can have real emotions depending on the way you talk to him. If you were to scold him he would have faced down and seemed to be disappointed. If you were to encourage him then he would try to smile. As Rodney said, robots will probably invade our lives because since robots can have emotions, humans are not the centre of the earth (as stated in Rodney’s slide show).

Fly with the Jetman!

Flying with jetman is an interesting video about a man that can fly! Here is my video response.

I found it really interesting how that man was actually flying!!!

After watching the videoI learned that the jetman made sure to make the wings a part of him so that he doesn’t have to steer and ruin the moment of feeling free.

However I am still wondering about how much does the jet pack weigh?
